I came to this from your comment on the Sabrina carpenter essay about sexuality. I LOVE how you bring in modern examples of men being celebrated for embracing femininity or female sexuality. It really shows how far the double standard goes.
Indeed, women are routinely held to such double standards in policing, housing, parenting, education, health and literally all other sectors of their lives. That's why it's so important to consistently call these out and attempt to break down the patriarchal societies we live in.
